Includes Washington’s letter to Congress, dated 19th Oct., 1781, followed by the correspondence between Washington and Cornwallis, dated 17-18th Oct., and "Articles of capitulation ... Done at York in Virginia, this 19th day of October, 1781. Cornwallis. Thomas Symonds. Published by order of Congress, Charles Thomson, sec." Advertisement for John Oldden’s store, Second Street, Philadelphia, at end. New-York Historical copy damaged along creases, slightly affecting text and illustration.
