I ... do hereby appoint Thursday the seventh day of December next, to be observed as a day of public thanksgiving and prayer ... Given under my hand, in the Council chamber at Hartford, this second day of November, 1780 ... Jonathan Trumbull. Ascribed to the press of Timothy Green of New London by Evans, but not listed in H.A. Johnson’s Checklist of New London imprints. New-York Historical copy has manuscript note at foot of page: "My soul doth magnify the Lo[rd]". References: Evans 16748.
