Three British tax stamps, sixpence, reign of George II, verso
1727-1760
Parchment fragment with three stamps on a single rectangle of blue paper affixed to the recto and one printed cypher label affixed to the verso. Each of the three stamps is a 6 pence stamp (with "VI PENCE" at foot), with a small piece of metal foil near the center of the first stamp, but not the others. The cypher label has the monogram of George II and the number "80" in the upper right corner.
