Contract for employment on the Sloop Louisa, "bound from the Port of Newport, Rhode Island to Africa & from thence to Charleston and then back to said Newport." Includes the name of ship Master Samuel Taggart, first mate Benjamin Weaver, second mate Zephaniah Hathaway, and seamen Noel Allen, William Tayer, Abram Brouwer, Lenard Pieters, John Hermany, and James Murry. On back, multiple notations dated March 1, 1805, through September 24, 1805, detailing payments to crew.
