The style of hachures is fairly distinctive among American maps of this period., Title proper is from recto and may be original., Pen-and-ink, pencil on laid paper., Watermarks. Upper piece: "T.VITROUIL G.DALANCON" under unidentified symbol. "G.DALANCON" is probably the firm name; compare Gravell and Miller foreign watermark no. 449 of 1737. Lower piece: LIN 1780 under crest containing fleur-de-lis triplet.
