CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP The following classes of membership are available: research membership at ten dollars yearly; annual membership at twenty-five dollars yearly; sustaining membership at fifty dollars yearly; Pintard Fellow at one hundred dollars or more yearly; and corporate membership at two hundred fifty dollars yearly. A life membership fee is one thousand dollars in lieu of all other dues and fees. The contribution of five thousand dollars or more, or equivalent gifts in kind, entitles the donor to be elected a Patron of the Society. The contribution of twenty- five thousand dollars or more, or equivalent gifts in kind, entitles the donor to be elected a Sustaining Patron of the Society. The contribution of one hundred thousand dollars or more, or equivalent gifts in kind, entitles the donor to be elected a Benefactor of the Society. All members, with the exception of research members, have the privilege of attending and of inviting guests to all the lectures of the Society and will receive The New-York Historical Society Quarterly and Annual Report. FORM OF BEQUEST I give and bequeath to The New-York Historical Society, founded in the year 1804 and incorporated in the year i8og, the sum of dollars. TAX DEDUCTIONS FOR GIFTS AND BEQUESTS The New-York Historical Society qualifies as an educational institution to which lifetime gifts of money or property or devises or bequests under a will may be deducted for income or estate tax purposes to the extent permitted by law.
