Wise Wood April 9 The Society, as this report shows, is making every effort within the limits of its income to interest the public in a study of the past and to enjoy the arts of design; also to inculcate in the school children an appreciation of museum exhibitions, so they may in the future realize the educational possibilities of this and other cultural organizations. Our lecture programs attracted many people and the social hour following added to the pleasure of the occasion. May we point out that the Society receives no public money to carry on these activities and relies wholly upon its endowment funds and contributions to fulfill and enlarge these obligations. We feel that we are definitely obligated to bring to the attention of the public the rich resources of our library and museum collections and thus take our place in the field of education. Respectfully submitted, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES A. J. Wall, Secretary !9
