About the Creator: Attributed to Harbach & Bro. During the Civil War, Harbach & Brother was a distributor of staple and fancy stationery, envelopes, writing instruments, ink, and other writing and mailing supplies, operating from 36 North 8th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While Harbach & Brother is the name associated with this envelope, it is unclear whether or not they were the producers of this envelope as opposed to also being distributors.
