Pictorial Envelope: 1 envelope; 3 1/4 x 5 7/8 in. Caricature of Ward in top left corner, with entire 'speech' written complete with misspellings and mocking southern accents, in small wrap around text on the front of the envelope. Cream envelope with blue ink. The speech is meant to mock Charles Farrar Browne's nom de plume 'Atemus Ward.'

Charles Farrar Browne (April 26, 1834 - March 6, 1867) was an American humorist and author, known at the time by his nom de plume (pen name) 'Artemus Ward.'
