J.E.B. Stuart (6 Feb. 1833-12 May 1864) Graduated from West Point in 1854. Officer in the Confederate Army during the U.S. Civil War who served as a cavalry commander with the rank of major general. Killed in 1864 as the result of a Federal raid at Yellow Tavern crossroads.
