Jimmy Kerrigan, a member of the Molly Maguires, a group known for their activism amongst Irish American coal miners in Pennsylvania. Kerrigan became a state's witness against other members of the Molly Maguires and gave details about the murders of a mine boss and a night watchman at a mine.
