On the 23d day of May 1774, the Committee of Correspondence wrote a letter to Boston, in which are these remarkable passages ... a congress of deputies from the colonies in general ... ought to be assembled without delay ... The same Committee on the 7th of June, 1774, wrote another letter to Boston ... The suspension of trade, and every other resolution, we have thought most prudent to leave for the discussion of the proposed General Congress ...
