Ship manifest of "Negroes, mulattoes, and persons of color taken on" the Steamer Powhatan of Washington from the port of Alexandria [Virginia] to Dumfries, Virginia. Includes names of ship's Master, John W. Rogers, shipper Joseph Bruin, collector Edward S. Hough, and consignee William H. Betts. Lists 16 slaves, 7 of which are children.
