Manuscript draft of a four-page letter from Lysander Spooner in Boston [Massachusetts] to Gerrit Smith dated September 21, 1857, asking that Smith not read directly from his letters at "the Syracuse meeting" [probably the Jerry Rescue Convention], but to discuss his ideas on the unconstitutionality of slavery.
