Bill of sale for "a certain Negro man named Harry" from Archibald D. Murphy and George Clancy of Orange County, North Carolina, to Wiliam Kirkland, of the same town. The slave, Harry, was part of the estate of John S. Kirk. Signed by witnesses G. M. Johnston and James O'Daniel. On back of first page, three additional statements in three hands, all confirming sale of the slave, Harry.
