Quarterly Bulletin available for transferring some of the fish to the Bronx Zoo. It was clearly stated, however, that this in no way affected the building itself and that after the completion of the Battery Tunnel, if funds were available, the building could be restored for whatever purpose might seem best. Those in opposition, however, feel that the move to close the Aquarium at this time will leave the building untenanted and uncared for over a period of several years, which will be a strong argument for its destruction later on, since it will be in a much worse state of repair at that time. A. J. Wall GALLERY TOURS THE Society is planning to inaugurate a series of Gallery Tours beginning in November. They will be conducted on Tuesday afternoons and on Friday afternoons, from three to four o'clock, except on holidays. Groups of those interested will meet at the Information Desk near the main entrance. Tours may be scheduled for other times if arrangements are made in advance. General tours will be conducted, giving the visitor a general view of all the collections, and in addition, there will be talks on individual collections for those interested in particular subjects. These talks will include the Painting Galleries, Folk Art and Household Crafts, Naval History, the Port of New York, New York City Views, and other parts of the museum. This service will be free to members and to the public. O1
