But we was much Disappointed By our vessel running aground upon a flat by Capt. Harrises wharf whare we Laid all Night. Saturday, October 26th. Got the vessel of and after our Officers Came on Board we Came to Sail at nine of ye Clock. Left Saybrook Having a Small Breese of wind. Esq. Youngs and Mr. Lester in a Smaul boat from Sterling Came on Board of our vessel. Inform us of Fourty Tories on horseback are Ransacking the Island, took Esq. Hempsted and Two of Esq.
