Drawn on an L-shaped piece of paper, largest dimensions are recorded. Signed at center in graphite: 'H.A.G.'; inscribed clockwise beginning at upper right: 'an old canal boat.'; 'an old (barge) canal boat'; 'bow of a / vessel.'; 'Hoisting barrels & boxes into a vessel.'
