Notes four men, George Harvey, Michael Keable, John Chace, and Ezekiel Mitchell [Mitchel] that "left the vessel at Virginia." On back, additional detail about wage payments to crew members.
- Unsigned letter with no addressee regarding charges from Captain [Thomas] Rogers [possibly on the Brig Othello] for wood, canoe hire, corn, and water. The author writes that, "if you possibly can imagine this to be a reasonable charge, pray allow it to him - but it is more than double we were ever charg'd by those that brought off twice the number of slaves."
- Receipt for wages paid to George Larm by Captain John Duncan of the Brig Othello, includes deduction from wages for 3 1/2 gallons rum "stole out of a cask that was tapt in the head with a gimblet by you or some your ship mates you must pay for among yourselves." On back, note dated March 21, 1771 verifying receipt of payment signed by Boyle Vandeleure of Barbados.
