Includes deduction from wages for 10 gallons rum "taken up from 5 July to Feb'y 19th." On back, note dated March 21, 1771 verifying receipt of payment signed by Boyle Vandeleure of Barbados.

: [Bill of sale for a slave named Mimba]; Document on one leaf in three hands. On top, a contract signed by Dudley Saltonstall promising to "carry to North American for sale" a "negroe girl named Mimba." On bottom, a reciept for the sale of the slave Mimba dated June 4, 1763. On back, verification of sums received by Dudley Saltonstall. Signed by John Joy of New London [Connecticut] and dated October 13, 1763.

On top, a bill of sale of "a female negro slave named Kate" from Nicholas Dudley [probably of Exeter, New Hampshire] to his son-in-law and daughter, Sarah and Josiah Robinson. On bottom, bill for cost of materials purchased by Capt. Josiah Robinson for the funeral of Nicholas Dudley from Daniel and Jacob Tilton.

: [Bill of sale for a slave named Harry]; Bill of sale for "a certain negro man named Harry" from Archibald D. Murphy and George Clancy of Orange County, North Carolina, to Wiliam Kirkland, of the same town. The slave, Harry, was part of the estate of John S. Kirk. Signed by witnesses G. M. Johnston and James O'Daniel. On back of first page, three additional statements in three hands, all confirming sale of the slave, Harry.

Briggt.; Detailed account book for the Royal Charlotte from a 1762 voyage to Anomabu [Ghana]. Includes ledger for purchases of slaves, gold, sundries, and general provisions. At back, summary accounts for sales of flour, "naval stores", sugar, coffee, and tobacco.

Hemphill specifies that if Ellena Goodman passes away, the slave will then be given to his other sister-in-law, Sarah Louisa Goodman.
