Includes manuscript copy of a letter from J. [James] Fulton, Jr. to Bradburn discussing "Anti-Texas efforts" in Washington, D. C. and the Texas Constitution.

Cleveland to Lysander Spooner, Wendell Phillips, and Francis Jackson, explaining his interest in Captain Daniel Drayton, and expressing his dismay at the negative tone of their response to his letter that he hoped to have printed in the Commonwealth.

Cleveland]; Manuscript copy in Lysander Spooner's hand of a four-page letter dated February 11, 1854, from Lysander Spooner, Wendell Phillips, and Francis Jackson to Charles D. Cleveland, responding to a letter that Cleveland had sent to the Commonwealth to be published. In it, they suggest that Cleveland had written the letter to dissuade others from donating money to support the cause of Captain Daniel Drayton. At end, an additional note by Richard Hildreth agreeing with the sentiments of Spooner, et al.
